Applicants to The Danish Arts Council’sCommittee for Visual Art (National) must submit the application cover sheet form. The form must be submitted with the application itself and relevant attachments. A completed cover sheet form is not sufficient for the committee to evaluate the project.
The application must briefly (max. two A4 pages) and clearly describe the project for which funding is sought. The application should answer six questions
Who is seeking funding
For what is funding being sought
Where will the exhibit/ project take place
When will the exhibit/ project take place
How is the plan for the exhibit/ project to be realized
Why is the project important
The application must be accompanied by
CV
Samples of earlier works, photos, prints, catalogues, slides, etc.
Timetable
Detailed budget
Financing plan stating the foundations, etc., from which funding may have been sought and which, as the case may be, have granted funding and in what amount Copy of exhibition agreement /invitationDescription of any collaborative partners
Associations/institutions/counties must also provide
Bylaws or regulations and rules of procedure
Plan of action for the year for which funding is sought
Register of the management of the association/institution
Furthermore
All applications must be submitted in a form suitable for copying (A4 format) without binding, staples, etc.
Original works may not be submitted, as the secretariat cannot take responsibility for maintaining them.
All attachments are submitted at the applicant’s own risk and must be identified with the applicant’s name
Remember to provide a legible return address and to sign the application
If the applicant would like any attachments returned by mail, a self-addressed, stamped return envelop must be enclosed
NB: It is not necessary to state from which pool funding is being sought.
Receipt for acquisition of the application and final response Applicants will receive a letter within one month after the application deadline in which The Visual Arts Centre signs for the receiving the application and ask for more information if necessary. The Applicants get a written response to their application within 10 weeks after the application deadline. The decisions of the Committees are final and are made public on the website of The Danish Arts Agency.
