The German-Turkish visual artist Nevin Aladag (b. 1972) was the DIVA-resident in Copenhagen from February to June 2007. Nevin Aladag grew up in Germany and her photo and video works are touching and poetic reflections of the lives of the descendents of immigrants in Munich and Berlin. She exhibits her work in both museums and in the public sphere and has had a long series of shows in and outside Germany.

Nevin Aladag was nominated by the curatorial group U-turn, that are also behind the international festival for contemporary art scheduled to take place in Denmark in 2008.
