Danish visual artists can apply for studio programs and residencies in Berlin, Los Angeles, New York, Paris and Istanbul.
Moreover, one Danish curator is offered an annual residency in Cuba. The Istanbul residency is also open to curators.
The many international residencies are a recognition of the importance and necessity of Danish contemporary artists increasingly orienting themselves globally, rather than nationally, in carving their profiles.
Grants are paid to artists and curators in connection with most of the residencies. Applications for residencies does not follow a general application form but must follow the residency application guidelines.
